Frequently asked questions.

About the fit, the work, and the practical details.

Getting started

Is Cambras Technologies right for a company like ours?

Cambras Technologies works with ambitious organizations that want to use emerging technology thoughtfully and responsibly to move the business forward. You want senior-level expertise without the overhead of a large consulting engagement. The work stays close to your business: what matters, where technology can create value, and how to act with appropriate attention to governance and risk.

What does working together actually look like?

Every relationship starts with a complimentary introductory conversation. We’ll learn about your business, what you’re trying to accomplish, and where technology may be able to help. If there is an opportunity to add meaningful value, we’ll decide together how to move forward. You don’t need to know what you need before we talk.

Do we need to know exactly what we need before reaching out?

No. Bring a business problem, an opportunity, or simply something you are trying to understand. The first conversation is there to work out whether and where I can help. There is no need to choose an engagement before we speak.

Working together

Will you work with our existing IT team and vendors?

Yes. Cambras works alongside your existing people and partners. The role is to connect business priorities with technology choices, strengthen the work already underway, and help establish clear ownership—not replace good people or add an unnecessary management layer.

Do you implement, or only advise?

Both, depending on the engagement. Some organizations need guidance; others need help turning an idea into a working solution. Applied technology engagements can include design, prototyping, implementation, coordination, and testing. We agree the delivery responsibilities and boundaries up front.

How do you approach responsible technology adoption?

Opportunity and responsibility belong in the same conversation. We consider the people affected, security, privacy, governance, accountability, and relevant regulatory considerations alongside the business opportunity. We involve the right internal teams or specialists where needed. The aim is technology adoption with a moral compass—not progress at any cost.

Pricing & commitments

What does an engagement cost?

For Fractional Emerging Technology Leadership, standard fees for the usual scope of work are $20,000 for the five-day strategy intensive and $15,000 per month for optional ongoing support. Ongoing engagements have a 90-day initial term, then continue month to month with 30 days’ notice. Executive advisory, workshops, and applied consulting are scoped individually. The complete scope and fees are agreed before work begins.

What do we get from the strategy intensive?

The intensive takes five days: three on site with your team, then two off site turning what we learned into your plan. You leave with a clear strategic vision and a roadmap for the next 90 days that your leadership team has agreed on. You gain a clearer understanding of your priorities and what a longer engagement would involve.

Do we have to commit to a longer engagement?

No. The strategy intensive is a separate, paid engagement. Afterward, we decide together whether ongoing work makes sense. The intensive fee applies whether or not you continue.

What happens if the intensive’s deliverables don’t meet expectations?

If the first week’s deliverables do not meet the agreed expectations, the engagement continues at no additional professional fee until those expectations are clearly met. The engagement can then end without any commitment to ongoing fractional support.
